An external parallel run is step in the implementation process of coordinated capacity calculation approach pursuant to Forward Capacity Allocation Guideline and Long-term capacity calculation methodology for Core CCR during which the Core TSOs and the Core CCC shall continue testing their internal processes and IT tools and infrastructure.

In addition, the Core TSOs shall involve the Single Allocation Platform to test the implementation of this methodology, and market participants to test the effects of applying this methodology to the market and allow them to adapt their processes.

JAO as the SAP Operator and Market Participants will be involved in the testing of the abovementioned implementation process in a following manner: 

• JAO will publish on this page the results of running the allocation algorithm after each coordinated capacity calculation run based on 2025 historical bids 
• JAO will publish on its Publication Tool results of coordinated capacity calculation runs 

The external parallel run plays a key role in ensuring a smooth and reliable transition to the long-term flow-based allocation and Go-Live readiness.

Market Participants will also be able to access the Publication Tool designated for the Core LT CCR external parallel run. The Publication Tool for Core LT CCR will publish data items related to the coordinated capacity calculation as specified in the Article 20 of the Long-term capacity calculation methodology of the Core capacity calculation region.

Following results of the Long-term flow-based allocation will be published on this page on a monthly basis after each run of the coordinated capacity calculation process.

Remarks:

• For yearly flow based calculation, the LT CC  (MinMax) approach, currently under approval, is used for yearly flow-based calculation. However this is not including final evaluation and outage plannings.
• For monthly domains, they will also follow the calculation outlined in the LTCC methodology. Considering returns from year 2025, with phased approach:

          - Start with 0 values for returns, and switch to historical 2025 values in May once JAO is ready

          - Clarification needed until May (not blocking for EXT//run start): whether capping/scaling returns will be needed

• For go-live there will be new domains
• Polish border created bids are added
• French bids were multiplied with a factor to account for yearly auction split.
